World Folklore Festival RAINBOW
RAINBOW is a cyclical World Folklore Festival, the guests of the festival are mainly bands from all over the world, as well as Polish groups. Every year the city of Ełk hosts about 15 folk groups in June. So far, Ełk has been visited by teams from nearly 150 countries around the world, including the farthest east: South Korea and China, south: Sri Lanka, north: Finland, and from the west Portugal / Mexico. After the evening festival presentations, concerts of folk music stars take place. On the last day of the festival, a colorful parade of invited bands passes through the streets of the city, attracting crowds of viewers. The festival is the most colorful cultural event in the region and has become a summer showcase of Ełk, arousing great interest from the public.
